Students at BU are go getters. After the “core” requirements are fulfilled, students may design a course of interdisciplinary studies, where they study interrelated subjects such as philosophy and physics, or urban studies and public policy. Nearby Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox, Newbury Street and Kenmore Square attract high school graduates who want to dress with flair and build their city smarts. Undergraduates learn to navigate Boston quickly. When it’s sunny and warm, they may go to the “beach,” an area by the law school that flanks the Fenway with the heavy flow of cars substituting for the sound of waves. (more…)

Boston University stretches along Storrow Drive which flanks the Charles River, and the Mass Pike on the south side. Commonwealth Avenue crosses the campus from Kenmore Square on the east side to Babcock Street on the west side by the university track and tennis center.
