DECLARATION OF CODEPENDENCE

Richter Scale's second revue "Declaration of Codependence" is a fine assembly of San Francisco's most talented sketch, improv, musical, and stand-up comedians. Get to know the cast of "Declaration of Codpendence" below.

Sammy Wegent (Director) is a Comedian/Improviser/Actor in San Francisco. He is the winner of the 2005 Battle of the Bay Comedy Competition at the San Jose Improv. He holds an B.F.A in Theatre from Shorter College and an M.F.A. in Acting from Catholic University in Washington D.C. Sammy is the Associate Artistic Director of the Seaside Repertory Theatre in Seaside, FL as well as the Artistic Director of SPF 7. He has performed all over North America at comedy clubs, theatres, and festivals including the Chicago Improv Festival, The Shakespeare Theatre, the San Francisco Improv Festival, DC Comedy Fest, the San Jose Improv, Stand Up NY, Gotham Comedy Club, and the Toronto International Improv Festival. He is the Improv Instructor of the San Francisco Comedy College and the creator and Executive Producer of the Gulf Coast Comedy Festival.

John Foley (Producer) wants to make it perfectly clear that he is not related to Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) in any way.  John Foley (D-CA) is not now, nor is he ever likely to be, a member of any legislative body. This show will end that dream.  He is an actor, writer, filmmaker, comedian and software marketing executive. In the bay area he has appeared in Much Ado About Nothing with the SF Shakespeare Festival and as Father Mark in Tony ‘N Tina’s Wedding. John is Vice President of the board of Z Space Studio. This is his first time producing and he feels privileged to work with such a talented group of people

Paco Romane is a San Francisco based actor, comedian, writer, stand-up, filmmaker, and multi-instrumentalist. His production company, FreeDirt Media produces comedy films and performance projects. His monthly, variety show, "The Romane Event" has earned praise and recognition for being a "must see" and "the only true variety show in the bay area". In 2005, Paco was voted "Best Comedian", in the Bay Guardian's, "Best of The Bay". He is currently writing a one man show called "Just Smile and Nod". He has performed in the SF Sketch Comedy Festival, The Bay Area Comedy Festival, The SF Theatre Festival, The Bruno Island Festival, and The Gulf Coast Comedy Festival. Brett Duggan is a multi-talented comic performer cut from the same cloth as The Marx Brothers, Steve Martin, Eric Idle, Peter Sellers and Adam Sandler. His Quest for comedy has led him to master a host of skills including: stand up comedy, characters, story telling, classical clowning, modern acting, musicianship, songwriting, physical comedy, social commentary, satire, writing, sketch writing and directing. Holly Nugent is thrilled to be joining the cast of Richter Scale for this production of "The Declaration of Co-Dependence" after filling in for roles in "This is Not A Test" for the San Francisco Sketchy at Best Festival. She is a co-founder of the Improv troupe "The Lunatic Players" and performed with them for 2 years. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory, and has worked for Regional Theatres around the country including PCPA Theatrefest, Woodminster Ampitheatre, Boston's Theatrezone and Dimensions Theatre Project. Favorite roles Include: Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Belinda/Flavia in Noises Off, Katherine in Taming of the Shrew, and Felicity in Tom Stoppard's The Real Inspector Hound.

John "POUNDZ" Dunn was born, raised, and still lives in the Napa Valley, CA. He is a company member of the San Francisco sketch comedy troupe "Richter Scale" , and the Bay Area Improv troupe "The Super Dupers". He also is an alumni of the "San Francisco Comedy College", and recently has been working with Sammy Wegent, and Richter Scale performing at the Berkeley Comedy Festival, San Francisco Theater Festival, and the Gulf Coast Comedy Festival. After traveling all of Europe for a year, Tenaya has returned to the Bay Area to be an actress! She is from Berkeley and graduated from Indiana University with three B.A.s in Theatre, Geology, and Anthropology. Therefore, Tenaya is known as a Geo-anthropactress and she is the top in her field! In the near future, Tenaya will also perform her one woman cabaret shows and pirate shows in the Bay Area! She has a passion for fashion and loves to perform. David Riccio Jr, a show technician, comedian, actor, writer,vegetarian, and lova', is a newbie to the Bay Area moving out here in September from New Haven Connecticut. David comes to Richter Scale as their cuddlesome show technician. He enjoys everything that there is to enjoy about theatre and the vis major of artistic expression. David has a Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin Pierce College of New Hampshire in Arts Management with a concentration in theatre and an Associate of Science degree from Full Sail Real World Education of Orlando, Florida in Show Production and Touring. David has had his time on stage as well with such roles as juror #10 in 12 Angry Men, Charlie Davenport in Annie Get Your Gun, the father in Dark Side of the Moon, the Giant in Jack and the Beanstalk, and Friar Tuck in the Adventures of Robin Hood. David lives life by the simple philosophy of keeping you friends close but your enemas closer.
